I'm going to be at the Anime Central convention in Rosemont on Saturday. I will be there all day, so stop by at any time. I will be at 's table in the Artists section, just hanging out and drawing. If anyone lives in the area and wants to stop by and chat, and maybe get a sketch from me, I'd love to see you there! I don't think I have many fans around northern Illinois, though..so most likely, I'm just going for the exposure.

They just released their first album, and they need every album sale they can get. So, if you have some money to spare and/or like their music, I strongly suggest you buy it!!! It is an import as of right now, though. So, you will have to pay through PayPal. But, I'd appreciate you giving them support! Also, tell me what you think of the site!

In terms of stuff you should look into:

If you like comics, may I suggest:

Popgun, Vol.1 - An awesome anthology of comics. It's a big full color book, and it's only like $15-20. It's awesome if you're looking for inspiration.
Flight Vol.1-4 - I only have Vol.1 right now, but it's great. Also an anthology, but with a theme of flight. It has got artists that are the best of the best.
MBQ - A 3 volume series by Felipe Smith, a friend of *galvo's. It's wonderfully drawn and that has awesome characters. For mature audiences only, though.

If you like movies, may I suggest:

Iron Man - Go see it, it's amazing.
Speed Racer - Horrible plot. Awesome visuals. Go watch it with headphones on, playing some awesome techno remix. You'll thank me later.
3:10 to Yuma - Amazing movie. I think it should be a requirement to watch it. I was wondering why there's so many Neo-Noir movies nowadays (Sin City, The Spirit) and why there's no Neo-Westerns. Well, there are, apparently. This was an awesome take on the Western genre. I still want to see a Frank Miller-esque and/or Matrix-influenced Western. It would be amazing.
