NanoSpace cast

This is the main characters for a video game I've been designing for over a year now. I doubt it'll ever be made, but it'd be awesome if it was.

It's mainly an action-adventure game that spans a Galaxy, you go around planets, taking on missions and fighting bad guys. But, there's so much more to it. The battle system is a fast-paced fighting game, where you can pull off combos and special moves. There's also ship battles, Outlaw Star style, where each ship has an arm of sorts and two (or more) ships duke it out. There's also horizontal space shooter levels, and other minigames. There are 7 main characters, each has a unique fighting style. They're all basically a ragtag group of space adventurers and each has their own reasons for tagging along. Seems cliche, but it's kinda feeding off of those RPG/adventure cliches.

The characters and story is as follows:

In the Nanospace Galaxy, there is rumored to be a living planet. This planet is named Organica and is believed to hold a great treasure. But, no one knows for sure what it holds. Some believe there is a lost civilization, some that there's a Spaceship in the core of it, and some believe it's a fancy pair of shoes. Whatever it is, no one has been able to find it. Many StarHoppers (rogue adventurers) have spent their whole lives searching the Galaxy for Organica, only to find other, unimportant, planets. And that made things more confusing.

One of these StarHoppers is a woman by the name of Ms. Captain. She is known in the seediest underbellies of the Galaxy as being the most ruthless and deceptive StarHopper ever (but, in reality, she's a complete softy). Well, Ms. Captain has been scouring the Galaxy for a good 10 years looking for Organica. And her latest encounter with a Space Whale (huge planet-eating whales floating around space) cost her her whole crew.

Our story starts with her crash landing in a village on the planet Sandtastic. Once she lands, she begins scouring for a new crew, and finds Ricky (nicknamed Ricochet, since he's a sharpshooter). One misadventure and a gunfight in a bar later, Ricky has joined (read: become) her one man crew. They pull in a couple of local bounties, and buy a clunky ship to get off of Sandtastic and find new crew members....and eventually, a new ship.

By the end of the game, there are seven crew members.

Ms. Captain - the captain of the ship. A very nice person, contrary to popular belief. Wants to be famous for finding Organica. (doesn't go into battle much....stays with the ship)
Ricky - the sharpshooter thief from Desertica. Arrogant, but determined. Wants to find the treasure in Organica. (uses his revolver in battle)
V-102 - a V-Cell (a bio-battery...comes from a genetically engineered race of androids whose only use is to power ships) from unknown parts. A famed ruthless killer, but that seems unlikely, given his calm demeanor. Is tagging along to escape the authorities. (uses an enormous pair of scissors in battle)
Damien - a kid that has been cursed to be a shadow. Slightly psychotic, but that's probably the 13 year old kid in him. Is tagging along to find the man who cursed him. (Uses fists and shadow attacks in battle....morphing and such)
Goober - A young Schnozzer (small sized, big nosed race) that has been separated from his parents. Very quiet, but tries to help as much as he can. Is tagging along to find his parents. (uses kicks and boogers in battle...since he has a mucus problem.)
Plug - a small (floating) navigational robot robot that came with their new ship. Very hyperactive, yet strangely intelligent. (Uses fists, electricity and his computer hacking abilities in battle.)
Plug X - an upgraded version of Plug that is more physically able. He's stronger and bigger than Plug. And has arms and feet. (Uses huge fists and lasers in battle)
Bow Kitty - A Kittie (female cat race) that is fiercely independent and DEAD. She has a halo and everything. She thinks that finding Organica will help her become alive..she's basically in purgatory, not alive or dead. (Uses claws and fangs in battle).

Maybe some day I'll actually make this game...with a lot of help. In my mind (and my sketchbook), it's well developed. It would be one hit game.
