I suppose I should give the final verdict on that poll of mine, and tell my plans for the near future.
I was already leaning towards it before I posted the poll but after seeing the warm response, and thinking about it a lot...I decided to do on a Hyperboy reboot webcomic in the near future.
Now, a disclaimer. I really need to stress how different this reboot would be. This is not the continuing adventures of Gene, Austin, and Vlad. It's practically a completely different idea. The only thing that's the same is the concept of the Hypersuit and a hyperactive main character that eats candy to turn into a superhero. There's also an Austin-like character, simply because that dynamic works really well (a hyper spaz and his super laid back friend, LULZ GALORE). Even the name of the series will be different to avoid confusion with Hyperboy.
I've planned out a lot of cool stuff for it, and the main character is already designed. I've had a lot of fun thinking up scenarios and plot arcs for this new take on the series. It's coming much more naturally than the original, simply because it's more in tune with my current writing style. I mean, I made Hyperboy in 8th grade. I've changed and improved both my art and my writing in countless ways since then. I know I can make the series WAY BETTER. If it helps, think of it as a completely different series, since it pretty much is.
I have complete confidence that you guys will like it, maybe even more than the original. It's got lots of silly school-related hijinks, lots of battling robots, and lots of cool sugar-fueled action. It's also got a cohesive plot and actual depth to the characters, something the original didn't really have.
While I'm really glad you guys liked Kill All Superheroes, that comic is both too hard to draw and to write on a consistent basis. Writing it never felt natural to me, it was too SURRIOUS RAWR. And there's tons of comics like that. I wanna do something quirky, original, and fun. Something that appeals to different age ranges. That stuff makes me happier.
For those of you that voted for Boondama, thanks for giving it a chance. It needs a lot of work still, and I think it would be better as a series, anyway. And hopefully Zeus Guy didn't get many votes because people want the pilot more. It's still in progress dudes!
Now, I don't think I will start this too soon. For those of you worried I'll abandon Hyperboy, I will most likely finish the 6th episode before starting the reboot. And there's still the Zeus Guy pilot which is the highest priority for me. I'll probably post some designs for the reboot soon, once I figure them out a bit more. That way you guys get a taste and can start getting excited!

On another note, my 21st birthday is coming up on the 22nd! It's pretty much the last big milestone birthday of mine for a while, so I'm gonna make it a big one.
