Wonderwood: Volume 2

SUP DUDES AND DUDETTES!

I've been doing a 30 Day Drawing Challenge this month, and I figured I should probably post my sketches on here. My goal was to create a full cast of characters for a Shōnen-esque story about tree people and their problems.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS!

Gerfa:
The midwife of Little Leaf Village. She takes care of all the little saplings until they reach maturity.

Yogbum and the Bush'ums:
A more primitive tribe of tree people. They blindly follow their leader Yogbum, who claims to receive messages from the Ancient Oak, a spiritual entity. These messages tell him that Kew is dangerous and must be killed. Kew just wants them to leaf him alone.

Grimbork:
The leader of the Queen's Canopy, a branch of the Warriors of the Wood dedicated to protecting the Queen. All guards must trim their branches except for one, and losing that branch in battle brings great dishonor. Despite his gruff demeanor, he is actually a fun loving guy and loves a good joke!

Endro:
A wandering former Warrior of the Wood who sees potential in Kew and teaches him the roots of Solar Style, a dangerous fighting technique that uses the power of the sun.

Mezlok:
A little pecked in the head. He's a demented criminal who cuts himself to "remove the demons". Generally not a guy you want to mess with, but Kew ends up facing him when Mezlok threatens his family and friends.

Lazaro:
Comes from a long line of Warriors of the Wood who lost their honor and must gain it back. Because of this pressure, he's very serious about his training. He doesn't like to beat around the bush and often gets into fights over petty things. Lazaro and Kew share an intense rivalry, but they would come through for each other if their lives depended on it.
